Charlene Conn

Charlene Laverne Sullivan Conn, 92, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at her daughter’s residence in Guntown.  Born on August 29, 1931 to Charlie D. and Bessie Lee Worthey Sullivan.  She was a lifelong resident of the Nettleton area and prior to her retirement she was a long time employee of Reed’s Manufacturing and later worked for Wal-Mart.  She liked to cook, sew, and read her Bible.  Her greatest pride was taking care of her grandchildren and she was the oldest member of Nettleton Pentecostal Church.  

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Nettleton Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by 3 sons, Donny Conn (Eddie Mae), Jerry Conn, and Mickey Conn (Kim); two daughters, Betty Ware (Lance) and Kathy Conn (Bonnie); 9 grandchildren, Christy Garrard (Nicholas), Brian Conn (Vanessa), Matt Conn (Miranda), Jason Watson (Hollie), Jon Conn, Candi Windham (Adam), Brooke Underwood (Jonathan), Lindsay Conn, and Mikilynn McBrayer (Blake); 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 60 years, Horace Conn; two sisters, Eva Mae Sancillo and Shirley Finney; brother, Clovis Sullivan; and a great granddaughter, Elliejae Watson.

Pallbearers will be Jon Conn, Jason Watson, Terry Joe Cook, Jr., Ian Cook, Cadin Windham, and Zac Cook.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
