Carinne (Brookman) Posey

Okolona-Carinne (Brookman) Posey, 76, passed away on October 3, 2022 at the NMMC in Tupelo surrounded by her family. She was born on May 27, 1946 to James Richard and Mattie Bell Worthey Brookman. She grew up in the Nettleton area. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, She was an avid reader, loved traveling and in her early years she loved to fish. She was affectionatley know to her grands as Mamaw and Granny. There was always a cooked meal at her house if you left hungry it was by choice.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton on Friday October 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Ben Raper officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery.

Left to treasure her memories are her three sons, Thomas Norman "Peanut"Gray (Eva Ann) of Okolona; Thomas Allen "Buster" Gray (Dawn) of Amory; James W. Posey (Mary) of Amory; one daughter Lisa Robinson of Amory ; grandchildren, Ben Gray, Kimberly Soden (Dustin), Dakota Gray (Shawn), Alex Gray (Scott), Gabby Gray, Jennifer Gray (Monroe), Branden Gray (Bobbie), Daniel Gray (Abbie), Jonathan Gray (Jodi), Candace Hodnett, Amber Randolph (Joey), Marilyn Gray (Dale), Justin Posey(Kim), Hannah Temple (Todd), Steven Robinson, Donna Parker, 19 great-grands, one sister, Jean Gray, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special friend Robert Mackley and a bonus son Rickey Mackley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Johnny Gray, daughter Donna Cook, her husband James Ray Posey, siblings Tyron Brookman, Sandra Brookman, James Boggan Brookman, and Finus Brookman.

Pallbearers will be Ben Gray, Daniel Gray, Jonathan Gray, Dustin Soden, Shawn Hood, Scott Sanders, Dale White, Joey Randolph, and Branden Gray.

Visitation will be Thursday, October, 6 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home.
