Canary Rebecca Gullick Howell

Canary Rebecca Gullick Howell, 98, of Hattiesburg died Monday, December 3, 2018, at Bedford Care. Mrs. Howell was the departmental secretary for the History Department Chair at the University of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Whiteman Howell, Jr.; her parents, John and Lucy Gullick, Sr.; one sister, Lucy Myrtle Owen and four brothers, John M. Gullick, Jr., William “Bill” Gullick, Henry Lee Gullick and Loye E. Gullick. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Howell of Hattiesburg; her daughter and son-in-law, Georgianne and Steve Roberts of Longmeadow, MA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Peggy Petropoulos of Wallingford, PA.
