Bonnie Ree Guess

Nettleton- Bonnie Ree (Gist) Guess, 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the NMMC-Hospice Unit in Tupelo, MS. She was born on December 19, 1945 in Golden, MS to parents Amos Gist and Vina (Pruitt) Gist. She lived most of her life in the Nettleton area. She was a member of Nettleton First Baptist Church. Before her retirement she had been employed by MTD in Verona. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and watching television. She took lots of pleasure in her church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Nettleton First Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Comer and Bro. Bradley Geno offficiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jerry Guess, two sisters, Juanita Anthony (Vance), Betty Worthey (James), one brother, Jimmy Gist (Winnie), two granddaughters, Kacey Riley (Alex), Amber Hughes (Josh), three great grandchildren, Aiden Riley, Charlie Kate Riley, Emma Cait Roebuck, a host of nieces and nephews, her brother and sister in-laws, special friend and sister-in-law Dianne Tackett.
Pallbearers will be Randy Comer, Cory Gist, Chris Gist, Kenny Guess, Alex Riley and Josh Hughes.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church prior to service time from 12:00-2:00 pm.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jerry Darrell Guess.
