Bobbie Jackson

Bobbie Mitchell Jackson, 89, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born on August 14, 1935 in Monroe County to Luther and Attrice Maxey Jackson. A lifelong resident of Aberdeen, he worked many years for the United States Postal Service retiring as Postmaster at Aberdeen. He was a member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Minister David Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park in Verona. 

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela McKissick and Sheila Easter (Don); one son, Rob Jackson all of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Trey Easter (Lindsey), Treycee Coker (Eric), Mitch Jackson (Ally), and Myles Jackson; great grandchildren, Emma Easter, Presley Easter, Carson Easter, Kayelen Easter, J.D. Coker, Waylon Jackson, and Archer Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Franklin Jackson; his parents; and two brothers, Thurston Jackson and Malone Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Don Easter, Trey Easter, Mitch Jackson, Myles Jackson, Eric Coker, and J.D. Coker. Honorary pallbearer will be Carson Easter.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at First Christian Church in Aberdeen.
