Billy Fred Garrett

Billy Fred Garrett “AKA Santa Claus”, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Monroe County Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. He was born in New Albany, MS to Noble Fred and Katie Daniels Garrett. He was a graduate of Amory High School and The University of Mississippi. He retired from Kerr-McGee Chemical Corporation after 34 years. He served in United States Air Force. Billy Fred was a member of First Christian Church where he served as a deacon. He loved people. Billy Fred is survived by his wife, Patricia Cook Garrett of Aberdeen and two daughters, Evelyn Jones of Aberdeen and Barbara Garrett (Rex) Shackelford; two grandchildren, April Strawbridge of Satillo and Garrett (Laken) Jones of Guntown; three great-grandchildren, Lexi Jade Bradberry, James Garrett Clifton and Christian Noble Jones. Billy Fred also leaves a special cousin, Jack Coley of Starkville, MS and special friends, Joe and Patricia Dorman of Highland Home, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Kendrick.

Visitation will be at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen from 4:00 PM til 7:00 PM on Friday, July 27, 2018. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. David Snyder and Bo Stahl officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
