Betty Ann Williams, 85, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home in the Wren Community. She was born on June 28, 1939 in Eupora to Melvin and Exa Land Salley. Graduating Eupora High School in 1957, she also attended Wood Junior College. Mrs. Williams worked as a dental assistant up until she married the love of her life, Mr. Charles E. Williams on February 18, 1963, after which she remained a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and amassed a large collection of cookbooks and one of her favorite past-times was fishing at Lake Monroe. She was a member of Tranquil Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Tranquil Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Salley and Rev. Dr. Raymond Rooney officiating. Tisdale-Lann Funeral Home of Aberdeen has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Mr. Charles Williams, she is survived by niece and nephews; and by special friends, Sandra and Steve Brewer and Jeff Grubbs.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and siblings, Dennis Salley, Sr. and Willie Helen Nason. 

A special thank you is extended to Legacy Hospice and to Sandra’s Sitting Service: Sandra Tindoll, Cindy Comer, Nancy Tubb, and Joyce Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Grubbs, Herbert Word, Terry Chiland, Steve Holman, Terry Holman, Ronnie Williams, and Charlie Williams. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Tranquil Cemetery.
