NETTLETON: Betty W. Capps Peters, 83, passed away, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at North MS Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on January 28, 1935 in Marks to Homer and Orene Lancaster Capps. She was a lifelong resident of Nettleton, was a retired seamstress, and was a member of the Nettleton First Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, & being with her family and friends. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Whitlock (Johnny) of Haleyville, AL, Pam Holland of Brewer, & Patricia Guess (Kenny) of Nettleton; three sons, Ricky and Joe Peters, both of Nettleton, & Allen Rinehart (Frankie) of Raymond; two sisters, Helen Haugh and Neoma Bell, both of Kenosha, WI; one sister-in-law, Barbara Capps of Kenosha, WI; seven grandchildren, John and Wesley Whitlock, Randy Peters, J.R. Holland, Chad and Tracie Guess, & Chris Rinehart; nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Peters; her parents; one sister, Barbara Capps; two brothers, David and Dorsey Capps; one granddaughter, Leigh Rinehart.
